Monthly Update – October 5, 2015

Here’s what’s in the pipeline over the next few months:

  • There are several updates coming to the various WordPress plugins, all of them are small and just ongoing maintenance along with support for the upcoming import of plugins in to translate.wordpres.org.

SULly Version 4.1 Released

SULly Version 4.1 has been released, this is a minor upgrade, including:

  • Added translation domain.
  • Added plugin name to the front of the change log e-mail title.
  • Fixed blank upgrade e-mail when it’s SULly being upgraded.
  • Fixed github-updater entries not being processed after upgrades are complete.

SULly Version 4.0 Released

SULly Version 4.0 has been released, this is a major upgrade, including:

  • Added beta support for github-updater packages (https://github.com/afragen/github-updater).
  • Added ability to re-process old failed or unknown packages (see the settings page).
  • Added support for markdown style links in the change log.
  • Fixed support for language translation packages.
  • Updated settings page.
  • Updated file layout of plugin.

Monthly Update – August 3, 2015

Here’s what’s in the pipeline over the next few months:

  • Summer is here and things are pretty quiet and will remain so.  Lots of basic maintenance will be going on in the background but no major new releases are planned at this time.

CYAN Backup 2.2 Released!

Version 2.2 of CYAN Backup is out:

  • Added: Option to exclude the database from the backup.
  • Added: Option to split the database tables in to separate files instead of a single large one.
  • Added: Option to define the prefix of the archive file name.
  • Added: Artificial delay between export of sql tables.
  • Fixed: Make sure the warning about the next scheduled backup is in the past is only displayed when the schedule is enabled.
  • Fixed: The artificial delay option not working.
  • Fixed: Passwords for remote storage with special characters would not be saved correctly.
  • Fixed: The wp-admin button on the exclude directories had a typo in it and added the wrong directory name.
  • Updated: When going in to the option page, if a backup has been running for at least 12 hours, automatically clear the active backup status.
  • Updated: Artificial delay option to delay every one hundred files or (as before) every ten seconds, which ever happens first.
  • Updated: Detect what kind of web server is being run and only display the required directory configuration button for it..

OS Integration 2.0 Released

OS Integration 2.0 is a major release with support for the upcoming WordPress 4.3.

Upgrade notes:

  • If you have upgraded to WordPress 4.3, OS Integration will override the Site Icon’s settings and strip the meta information from the page headers.  If you wish to use WordPress 4.3’s Site Icons, you can override this behaviour in the OS Integration advanced settings page.
  • If you are using the local XML feed, please check for the new options to include featured images in the settings page.

V2.0 has the following changes:

  • Added: Preview of image and background in the general tab.
  • Added: Featured images are now supported in locally hosted XML Live Tiles.
  • Added: Hooked in to the admin header load to support favicons in the admin panel.
  • Added: Strip WordPress 4.3’s Site Icon meta data so we don’t get a conflict.
  • Added: Tab to settings page to display current images.
  • Updated: Only add the custom local XML feed for Windows Live Tiles if the local option has been selected and Live Tiles are enabled.
  • Updated: About tab.
  • Fixed: Rebuild the images when configuration changes make it necessary (like changing the background color, logo position and other settings).
  • Fixed: Image Magic code now works!
  • Fixed: Check to make sure the os-integration directory exists in the uploads before trying to use it.
  • Fixed: Check to make sure the user has uploaded an PNG file before trying to use it and show an error message if not.
  • Fixed: Don’t try to generate the iOS files if an error has occurred due to the square or wide image generation.
  • Fixed: Some WordPress installs would not generate the local XML feed URL correctly.
  • Fixed: A really new WordPress installs (where there were not 3 posts yets) the local XML feed would create blank entries on the live tiles..
